Q. How can I arrange a shoot at Scarlet Studios?
A. Simple! Just give us a ring on 07948 327467 and we can discuss you options and arrange a date to meet for your consultation. Or you can fill out the contact form here online and we will get back to you within 24 hours.
Q. How can I pay for my shoot?
A. You can pay for your shoot by cheque or cash on the day. A £50 deposit is required in all cases; this is to be paid at your consultation, again either by cheque or cash. Your deposit will be fully refunded to you on the day of your shoot.
Q. What should I bring with me to the shoot?
A. We advise people to bring a wide variety of looks, ranging from casual, formal, funky to glamorous. Also bring accessories such as sunglasses, hats and jewellery. More information on this will be sent to you after booking your shoot.
Q. Can I bring someone with me to the shoot?
A. Of course! We want you to feel as much at ease as possible. We have a reception area where your chaperone can sit and enjoy a hot or cold drink while waiting for you. We recommend that they don’t watch you while the shoot is active as, from experience, the shoot doesn’t go as well.
Q. I’ve never modelled before? Which package should I go for?
A. The Bronze package will get you a few photos to add to your existing portfolio, so if you do not already have one, then we recommend you chose the Silver or Gold package as these will give you gain confidence and experience in front of the camera and give you a great start to an eye-catching portfolio.
Q. Should I opt for a make-up artist?
A. If your chosen package doesn’t come with a make-up artist then we recommend that you opt for the additional service because it can be a hard to know what make-up to wear and many people do not know how to create good looks. Plus photographic make-up is applied a lot heavier than what you would probably wear in normal life.
Q. How long do I need to allow for my shoot?
A. Including the actual shoot time, you need to allow approximately an hour before the shoot to discuss outfit changes and time for make-up to be applied, also around half an hour after the shoot to review the shoot and to pack away.
